Last Stop Larrimah: Murder Down Under NR — Nestled deep in the Australian Outback is the town of Larrimah and its 11 eccentric residents. When Paddy Moriarty and his dog Kellie left the local pub and vanished in December 2017, a long history of infighting is unveiled as the remaining residents become suspects in an unfolding investigation. The documentary shines a light on Larrimah's quirky history and how the town's once close-knit residents brought about their own fate. (Max, October 8th premiere) The Devil on Trial TV-MA — In the entire history of the U.S. legal system, there's only been one example of demonic possession officially being used as a defense in a murder trial, when Arne Cheyenne Johnson claimed he was innocent because a demon possessed him. This documentary recounts the brutal crime that led to this legal strategy, incorporating firsthand accounts and actual recordings of alleged devil possession. (Netflix, October 17th premiere)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 PG-13 — This 2014 superhero film had a super box office of $709 million and was the ninth highest grossing film of that year. In it, Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) loves to swing between skyscrapers, embrace being the hero, and spend time as Peter Parker with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price — only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city, including Electro (Jamie Foxx). Fright Krewe TV-Y7 — From Dreamworks Animation comes this animated horror series intended for "older kid" audiences. An ancient prophecy and a Voodoo Queen put misfit teens in charge of saving New Orleans from the biggest demonic threat it's faced in almost two centuries. But saving the world might be easier than becoming friends. (Peacock, October 2nd premiere) LEGO Marvel Avenger: Code Red NR — In this all-new special, the Avengers assemble to save New York City, but after an argument between Black Widow and her father, he disappears under mysterious circumstances. Determined to find her father, it's up to Black Widow to lead the Avengers to locate the Collector. (Disney+, October 27th premiere)

DOCUMENTARIES AND DOCUSERIES

The Pigeon Tunnel PG-13 — This pulls back the curtain on the storied life and career of former British spy David Cornwell — better known as John le Carré, author of classic espionage novels including Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Set against the turbulent backdrop of the Cold War leading into present day, the film spans six decades as le Carré delivers his final and most candid interview, punctuated with rare archival footage and dramatized vignettes. (Apple TV+, October 20th premiere) Milli Vanilli NR — This is the story of Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan, who became fast friends during their youth in Germany and formed the pop duo Milli Vanilli. Their first album went platinum six times in 1989, and their hit "Girl You Know It's True" sold over 30 million singles worldwide. They were the world's most popular pop duo in 1990, but their ascension to success came with a devastating price that ultimately led to their infamous undoing. (Paramount+, October 24th premiere)
