Each year, ATMC refunds portions of revenue not used to cover expenses in a given year to members both past and present. These refunds are called Capital Credits. In July, ATMC’s Board of Directors voted to allocate $2 million in Capital Credits to cooperative members who had qualifying service in 1998, 1999 and/or 2020.

Current members receiving a Capital Credit refund of $50 or less will see the credit applied to their September bill statement, those receiving a disbursement of more than $50 will receive a check prior to ATMC's Annual Meeting which will be held on October 1st at Odell Williamson Auditorium.

As COVID-19 concerns resurface, we want to continue to keep our customers and employees safe. One way to do this is by reducing face-to-face interaction. ATMC offers several options for paying your monthly bill without having to come into one of our store locations.

Here are some ways we make it convenient for you to pay your bill:

• Pay your bill online through myATMC. To sign up for myATMC, call 910-755-8208.
• Call our 24-Hour Automated Payment System. No enrollment is necessary, simply have your ATMC account number and credit, debit, or checking account information ready and call 910-754-4311.
• Drop your payment off in one of our drop box locations at our Shallotte or Sunset Beach stores.
• Make your payment at our Shallotte office using our drive-thru window.

Hurricane season is here and ATMC wants to ensure our customers stay connected using these simple tips:

• Fully charge your cell phone and locate your car charger.
• Save your cell phone battery by texting instead of calling, lowering your brightness, turning your touchscreen function off and turning your phone on only when needed.
• Back-up your home computer files and secure them in a safe location.
• Try text messaging if phone lines are busy.
• Take important phone numbers with you if you leave home.
• Develop an alternate communication plan to stay in touch with family.
• Follow ATMC on Facebook and Instagram to receive up-to-date announcements about service affecting issues or outages.

If you experience an outage during a storm, you should contact the ATMC repair line at 910-754-4317 and an ATMC technician will be out to restore service as soon as it is safe to get back on the road.

ATMC telephone customers should now dial 10-digits when making local calls. Calls made dialing just seven digits will still go through until October 24th. After that time, calls made dialing just seven digits will not be completed.

Customers are encouraged to make sure that all important safety and security equipment is reprogrammed to use 10-digit dialing and contact information used on personal and business materials such as checks and advertising is updated to include the 910 area code.
